“Answering the Call” is a symbolic painting featuring a young woman who has left her comfort zone to answer the call to bring her light to the darkening world. She excercises faith like Peter of old in the account found in the book of Matthew chapter 14, who stepped out of the fishing boat onto the Sea of Galilee and walked on the stormy sea to come to Jesus Christ. His power to accomplish such a feat was drawn through his faith in, and grace of, Him who beckoned him to come. So it is with our subject. The heavenly angels are sent to help the young lady accomplish her mission to bring her light that offers healing, hope and peace to our troubled world. They protect, guide and bolster courage. They help her understand the divine potential that lives within her and all mankind. The sun is setting, the waves are roaring, and the world needs her light now more than ever before.
